Who is IBAVALRESA?

IBAVALRESA is a Turkey-based manufacturer of wood, furniture and industrial coatings and varnishes. Formed through a Turkish–Spanish partnership — IBA Kimya (Ankara, 1977) and Valresa (Valencia, Spain, 1965) — it produces acrylic, polyurethane, polyester, cellulosic, epoxy, water-based and UV-curing paint and varnish systems, backed by 60+ years of expertise.

When was IBAVALRESA founded?

The IBAVALRESA partnership was founded in 2005, and its modern facility in Ankara Sincan was commissioned in 2007. Its roots lie in the heritage of IBA Kimya (1977) and Valresa (1965).

Valresa (premium wood paint and varnish), Esfera (premium water-based wood coatings), Ibavet (cost-effective wood paint and varnish) and Iba Industrial Coatings (industrial paints and varnishes).

Does IBAVALRESA export, and to which countries?

Yes. Around 50% of our production is exported, and we ship to 25+ countries. Key target markets include the Middle East, Africa, the Balkans and neighbouring regions.

Where does IBAVALRESA manufacture, and what is its capacity?

We operate on a 37,000 m² facility in the Ankara Sincan 1st Organized Industrial Zone, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons. Our processes are fully traceable and integrated with SAP and SCADA.

What certifications does IBAVALRESA hold?

IBAVALRESA holds the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate. Our products are verified through accredited certificates and independent laboratory testing, and comply with product-safety standards such as EN 71-3.

Does IBAVALRESA provide colour services?

Yes. With a network of 100+ colour machines in Türkiye and abroad, we produce RAL, NCS and NOVA colours with spectrophotometer accuracy — fast and repeatable.

Does IBAVALRESA develop custom products for customers?

Yes. Our R&D processes start from the customer's need and move through defining the need, formulation, laboratory and field trials, and productization. The product is tested under real application conditions; only after we verify that it works on the customer's surface — not just in the laboratory — does it move into serial production that delivers the same result in every batch.

Does IBAVALRESA offer water-based and low-VOC products?

Yes. Water-based systems and low-VOC solutions are among our R&D priorities; these products are safer for both the applicator and the end user. Esfera is our leading brand for water-based products. We advance our R&D work along the axes of surface function, regulatory compliance and sustainability.
